Well that was a surprise! Any big plans for this summer? Remember to bring your sunscreen!

Direct sunlight can be devastating to your tattoos, as well as your skin in general. A new tattoo is especially fragile. I normally suggest a month before you take a tattoo out into direct sunlight to allow the skin to fully regrow over top of it. Your skin is SPF 1.

For the best and longest lasting clarity in your tattoo, it's important to protect that investment of time, money, and pain. Keep it covered if possible, but if not, a high SPF suncreen can help quite a bit.
